Does Poetry Matter?
I believe that poetry does matter
in our society. Why? Because its unique and it experiences many different kinds
of sonnets, and different poems that will express different feelings about
certain situations. People may not know many poems but once you do it can be
neat to read. Some poems may be hard to read and to understand but you can
reread it over and over again and you can think it through to be able to
understand each part it represents. If we didn’t have poems the world would
express it in a different way. How can we explain how our feelings are? Poems
can be scary dark, happy or sad and loving. That’s why I think that poems do
matter in a way to express the way you feel. You can get ideas of what to do
and to discover ways to understand the society. Movies use poems in a way that
can be romantic. Poems can make you feel better from the inside. I agree that poetry does matter. If we didn’t
understand the meaning of it then you would be lost and you wouldn’t be able to
express the love or hatred towards something. Poetry is everywhere even if you don’t
think its poetry, it actually really is.
When growing up in elementary we
went over poetry and it was hard but fun. We could imagine different things and
be creative. You can color and change the world by writing on what you imagine
or see. With poetry you can create a fun atmosphere with plays and music and
dance. With it you can come up with stories and be funny and make it into a
comedy. The world needs laugher and excitement
and poetry can make it happen with having different stories and ideas that you
can think of and to be open minded. It makes you think and to over look and to
be thoughtful. The world would be blank if there were no poetry. Why? It is
because you wouldn’t be able to explain and to bring your thoughts out to
anything. That’s why I think Poetry matters in our world.
I agree with you, wholeheartedly, poetry makes you feel good from the inside! great way to describe the feeling when it touches your soul. Nice job Shelby.
